Master of Laws (LL.M.), University of Heidelberg, Germany, with highest honors.
Professor at the School of Law of Universidad de Chile (1998 – 2015).
Professor of the Postgraduate Law Program at the Faculty of Law, Adolfo Ibañez University. Bankruptcy and guarantees law (2009-2010).
He is an advisor to various companies on matters related to their corporate activities, both nationally and internationally, and in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, foreign investment, and financing, advising domestic and foreign clients, both medium-sized and large companies.
He also focuses on civil, commercial, and consumer litigation and arbitration matters. He has defended the interests of Chilean and foreign companies in insolvency proceedings, arbitrations, and contractual and non-contractual liability lawsuits, among others.
He served for over 15 years as in-house legal counsel for the Tresmontes Lucchetti S.A. group of companies, with operations in South America and Mexico.
He has participated in international arbitrations, ICC arbitrations, construction arbitrations, and corporate disputes involving foreign capital, among others. He has successfully conducted complex negotiations with several simultaneous judicial aspects.
Representative Experience:
- Advising companies involved in the theft of food, commodities, and energy on the issuance and placement of publicly offered securities in Chile and abroad.
- A Chilean consortium in an arbitration before the International Chamber of Commerce against a German client, including a precautionary pretrial action to halt the collection of guarantee bonds.
- A US supplier involved in the construction of a public works project in Chile with extrajudicial, public law, and insolvency aspects.
- A food company in the implementation of its Crime Prevention Model.
- In the financing and acquisition project of a major food company with effects in third countries.
